The Avant Flail Mower with Hydraulic Side Arm (S30) is the ideal attachment for the Avant Compact Loader for roadside mowing and mowing on steep gradients. Contact us for pricing and additional information With the S30 quick attach system, attachments with a S30 bracket can be fitted, such as the Avant 1200 mm flail mower. It allows mowing on the right side of the loader. The side arm is equipped with a straight telescopic arm and a tilting jib arm, which allows easy mowing of road banks and gradients. The telescopic arm extends hydraulically sideways to a maximum of 1.0 m. This means that the reach of the 1200 mm flail mower is a maximum of 2.9 m from the center of the loader. The jib arm movement, from the horizontal position, is a maximum of 45° down and 90° up. The telescope and jib arm movement speeds are adjustable. The jib arm floats hydraulically upwards, but not down. When working, the attachment which is mounted on the arm, for example the flail mower, remains in the position where it is raised by an obstacle. The side arm is equipped with a hydraulic release mechanism, and the hydraulic release pressure can be adjusted and measured. The attachment which is mounted on the side arm will give in backward when it hits an obstacle. The side arm will come back to normal position as soon as the attachment is tilted downwards.
