Repair/Condition Report:
The following are repairs completed by the CAT Dealer prior to Marcel Equipment owning the machine;
At 1,812 hours, installed NEW parking brake solenoid
At 2,531 hours, installed NEW fuel injectors
At 4,986 hours, performed 5,000 hour emission service
At 4,986 hours, completed valve set
At 5,332 hours, installed NEW transmission pump
At 5,332 hours, calibrated transmission & brakes
At 5,332 hours, installed NEW powertrain ECM
At 7,071 hours, installed NEW track groups
When unit arrived in yard, MEL had local CAT dealer complete the following;
Strip machine for power washing
CAT TA inspection
Update ECM flash files
Cut open all filters & inspect for contaminates - all clean
Service emission system if needed (filters, dpf, spark plug, injector, etc)
Inspect magnetic plugs/screens & suction screens - all clean except transmission
Serviced engine
Check oil levels
Inspect oils for discolouration
Check for logged & active codes & repair
Check for applicable service letters
Completed the following pressure checks to ensure within OEM spec;
Fan pressures & speed
Engine rpm high & low idle
Engine oil high & low idle pressure
Fuel pressure
Torque convertor stall speed
Full stall boost
Implement standby pressure
Transmission pump pressure
Torque inlet pressure
Torque outlet pressure
Torque convertor lock-up clutch
Flywheel low pressure - high/low
Transmission lube pressure - high/low
Performed clutch fill calibration
Steering system charge pressure
Brake pressure
Based on inspection, CAT mechanic completed the following repairs;
Installed NEW ether start solenoid
Diagnosed transmission issue, MEL repaired below
MEL completed the following repairs:
Removed transmission from unit & disassembled
Found #1 reverse clutch discs failed - replaced discs & plates
Found #3 clutch disc teeth worn - replaced discs
All other discs & plates met reusability guidelines
Installed NEW updated pistons from clutch #1 & #2 F&R
Old pistons were cause of failure
Installed updated retaining ring
Installed NEW brass bushings on transmission shaft
Resealed complete transmission
Disassembled transmission pump for inspection
Pump ok - replaced bushings & resealed
Installed transmission & calibrated
Verified clutch pressures - all within spec
Verified powertrain pressures - all within spec
Ran machine, removed screen - all clean
Cut open transmission filter - all clean
Cleaned out HVAC system
Resealed starter motor
Changed required hoses/lines
Repaired condenser fan
Removed final drive seal guards
Cleaned, inspected & re-installed
Tested batteries & serviced connections
Cleaned engine pre-cleaner assembly
Installed NEW track guide wear strips on front
Completed required blade repairs
Replaced required blade pins & bushings
Line bored blade joints where required
Greased machine
Machine is now ready to work.
