Cat 690D Tiger Wheel Dozer, s/n 7MJ00519, is a 1996 model with 33,523 frame hours. It is equipped with EROPS, air conditioner, twin tilt balderson coal blade and 45/65 R45 XLD Michelin tires with 60% tread remaining. The U-blade is 22 feet wide and 92 inches high.
In May of 2012 at 29,101 hours Foley Caterpillar completely rebuilt the engine using new pistons and liners. At the same time, they rebuilt the torque convertor, transmission and fuel system. The hours on these components now are 4422.
This machine was used by a local power plant on a coal stock pile since new. It served as a standby unit to assist the primary unit when it was unable to manage the coal pile by itself.
