Sany recently launched its SY215E electric crawler excavator, the company’s first midsize electric excavator marketed outside of China, in front of hundreds of component suppliers, customers, and journalists at an event in the Netherlands.
About The Sany SY215E
The electric excavator has a gross car weight of 232,000 kilograms (511,500 pounds), a maximum digging height of 9,600 millimetres (378 inches), and a maximum digging depth of 6,255 mm (246 in.). The SY215E is available with 600-, 800-, and 900-mm (23.6-, 31.5-, and 35.4-in.) tracks; it remains stable on jobsites situated over 4,000 metres (13,123 feet) above sea level, even in tunnels and small mines.
The digger’s 422-kilowatt-hour battery can perform five to seven hours of work on a single charge, and with the high-power double gun fast charge, the battery can fully charge in 70 minutes. Compared to a traditional excavator, the SY215E can save owners thousands of euros per year in fuel and maintenance costs.
The SY215E’s C23 cab provides a comfortable work environment with low noise levels and a large HD touchscreen with convenient controls, intelligent fault self-diagnosis, and online operating system upgrades.
